Calculating Lost Wages

How are lost wages calculated? In motor vehicle crashes, lost wages are calculated by your average weekly wage based on the prior 52 weeks of when the loss happened.

Typically you will need a disability note from your doctor and your employer to fill out a lost wage salary form. Once you obtain these two forms, you can submit it to your auto insurance. In some cases, they may also ask you for your recent tax return or W-2.
